Pulte Homes to Open Midtowne Townhome in 2006

Midtowne Community will be Pulte's newest neighborhood with 137 residences featuring three-story townhomes with attached two-car garages. Prices will start in the $300,000s. Construction and pre-sales are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2006.

Pulte bought 22 acres from LandMar in September 2005 and will be marketing Midtowne as a hip, urban community reminiscent of upscale, brownstone districts in cities like Atlanta and Washington, D.C. Pulte's strategy is to cluster housing built for a target clientele ranging from first-home buyers to retirees. The proposed neighborhood is in the heart of the Butler Boulevard office district, minutes away from entertainment centers like Tinseltown and St. Johns Town Center. Nearby Ironwood community, which is under construction, includes four separate townhome communities that range from 1,500 square feet to 3,000 square feet. Prices start at $220,000.

Pulte has offered similar products in other regions of the country, but Midtowne would be the first of its kind in Pulte's Jacksonville region. The homes will be at least 2,400 square feet with three- and four-bedroom floorplans. Exteriors will be brick and stone, rather than stucco. Plans include a clubhouse, fitness center and pool.
